INFORMATION & REFERRAL SERVICES

Due to Budget Cuts some of the Resource Center Services may be limited or no longer operating. We apologize for any inconvenience

You may call our Helpline at 415-296-9900 for information. All calls or visits to our office are confidential.

For a fee you may participate in a full confidential assessment of your relationship to alcohol or other drugs. In most cases this assessment is acceptable by DMV and court officials in many states.

The Resource Center Video and Literature Library contains an array of pamphlets, books, reference guides and videos on alcoholism, drug addiction, codependency and 12-step programs related to substance abuse. The materials can be either viewed in our office or checked out. Drop by our office at 944 Market Street, 3rd Fl. in San Francisco Monday through Thursday between 9:00 am and 5:00 p.m. and visit the Library.

Education and Training on identifying and dealing with substance abuse is available for employers, social-service providers, professional organizations and the public. Our staff can provide the training at your facility or at our site.

Classes are offered for those on court probation, school probation or work. The curriculum is ongoing and offers participants the opportunity to learn about substances and how they affect behavior. Participants are encouraged to evaluate their relationship to substances and develop a plan to prevent future problems resulting from alcohol or drug use. Random Drug testing can be arranged and reporting mechanisms established between program staff and probation officer or other referral source.
