RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS IN SAN FRANCISCO

The following list of programs provide residential treatment for various lengths of time and for no or low-cost. This list appears in alphabetical order and is subject to change at any time. Prerequisites for admission, prices, descriptions and incidentals are also subject to change. NCADA-BA will update the list as needed but will update it at least annually.

A program’s appearance on this list does not constitute an endorsement from NCADA-BA

San Francisco only has social model primary treatment programs.  This means they do not offer detoxification and usually require 72 hours of abstinence prior to enrollment.  The only exception to this is Baker Places, but you have to be diagnosed with a mental health condition to go there.
