Presentations
The Resource Center provides presentations to the community regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; the consequences of substance abuse; addiction and the recovery process. Presentations are available to schools, agencies, businesses, churches and other community groups. Pricing varies based upon the length of the presentation, the customization required and other variables.

NCADA-BA staff is knowledgeable and qualified to provide one-time or ongoing staff trainings, workshops, parent education, Alcohol Awareness Month activities and presentations throughout the year. Presentations include any combination of the following topics:

  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • Marijuana
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Immediate, short-term and long-term effects
  • Consequences and effects of substance abuse
  • What to look for – Signs and Symptoms
  • How to talk to your kids about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
  • Addiction and recovery
  • How to assist a family member or friend
  • Substance abuse in the workplace

Most of the presentations are developed and tailor-made to the specific needs of the trainees as opposed to off-the-shelf, one-size fits-all curricula. Written materials, handouts and multimedia presentations are provided to meet the needs of groups of any size.

Health Fairs
Information on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs is distributed at community health fairs by qualified Council staff and accompanied trained volunteers.  Information includes pamphlets and resource information specific to the needs of the event and community.
