These are the most commonly asked questions that we receive about signing up and taking a DUI class. For legal information we suggest that you speak with your attorney.

Intakes

Why must I attend an intake?
The intake is the entry point to the program where you choose a schedule, make payment arrangements and provide us with important information. Basically this is when we set-up a file for you, provide you with a program orientation and the paperwork for the court and DMV which states that you enrolled in our program.

Do you accept walk-ins for intake?
We never accept walk-ins for intake, you must make an appointment.

Program

Why do the programs vary in length?
The program length is determined by the court system and DMV and is different based upon your particular circumstances. In many cases (not all) your Blood Alcohol Level (BAL) is a determining factor in program length. BALs below .10 tend to get a 6 week program, BALs between .10 and .15 tend to get a 3 month program, BALs between .15 and .20 tend to get a 6 month program and BALs above .20 and Refusing to take the test tend to get a 9 month program.

What do you mean by program sobriety?
Program sobriety means that you must never attend an activity (including stopping by to make a payment) under the influence of alcohol or other substances. We recommend that all program participants abstain from alcohol and other substances (except prescribed medications) for the duration of their program because we believe it will be a more meaningful experience for them.

Completion

What do I need to do to complete the program?
You must complete all program activities, have a final interview and pay your program fees in full in order to complete the program.

Can I accelerate or “speed-up” my program?
No. You may not double-up on classes or other activities in order to complete the program faster than you were sentenced.
